Baked Sweet Potato Fries Recipe
Did you know? Opting for baked sweet potato fries over traditional fast food French fries can save you hundreds of calories and keep you from consuming extra fat content from the oils that they are cooked in. Choosing to bake your French fries over deep frying them can help keep your waistline down and ensure you get the necessary nutrients to optimize performance and lose weight in a healthy manner.
What You’ll Need:
2 pounds of sweet potatoes
Sea salt and black pepper for taste
2 tbsp of olive oil
Instructions
Begin by cleaning each potato’s skin, slicing into French fry size bites or about 1/4 - 1/2 inch in thickness.
Add your fries to a large mixing bowl with olive oil and seasonings. Just a few pinches of salt, use in moderation. Add any other seasoning that you prefer—I love to sprinkle garlic powder in there as well. Hand toss the fries in the bowl until evenly coated.
Place on a foil lined baking pan in a single layer for normal pans or without foil for a non-stick pan . Preheat oven to 400 F.
Bake sweet potato fries for 30-40 mins, or until the edges are dark but not burnt.
Remove from oven and enjoy.
